Bots and Translations!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to drop a quick update on the progress of my solo project.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve added basic bot scripting and even integrated a simple Ollama handler. While that’s a solid step forward, performance issues on the server have forced me to put advanced bot decisions and full messaging/attack reply features (especially on 2#Vex) on hold for now.

On the localization side, German support is now partially available! I’m focusing on fully translating the game into German first—my native language—so I can ensure everything is accurate before using it as a base for automatic translations into other languages.

What’s Next and missing?

  • Advanced Bots: Smarter bots with more strategic behavior. The current bots are basic builders.
  • Government System: Completing the remaining class/playstyle tiers.
  • Image Re-Render: The images used now, were rendered in 2023. I want to unify all newly added images and re-render them prior 1.0
  • Targeted Translations: English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Dutch, Turkish, Polish
  • Optional Languages: Greek, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese (Under review, especially for font compatibility)
  • Imperial Overview: A more detailed page to view all buildings and production across planets. The current version is still limited.
  • Achievements & Titles: Adding real in-game achievements and titles to provide more side goals.
  • Login System Overhaul: Centralized login system for all galaxies.
  • Combat System Rework: Current combat is based on bigger numbers = better. A type-based system with more depth is coming before version 1.0.
  • Mobile Optimization: Desktop-first design will be improved and optimized for mobile before the 1.0 release.
  • Alliances & Team Attacks: Will be added after the combat system rework.
